Ahh Good ol' Al.
This CD is the single greatest release by Al yet in my eyes. While no single song defeats the greats of "Eat it" or "Amish Paradise," it's also the first albumn where I enjoyed half the songs.
I give the CD a 9.5 out of 10.
As a side job, I've been delivering coupon books for my dad's wife. The other day there was a parade starting, we drove infront of it blasting his polka from this albumn. It was fun since a group of girls where looking disgusted at the music, then one goes "WAIT! I know that song I know that song!" since it is just a mash of polka and top hits.
The bolded songs are songs that I think you should give a listen to.
White and Nerdy is pretty damn good. He manages to hit every type of nerd in the song. Everything from computer geeks, Evercrack/WOW addicts, D and D nerds, anyone who owns a segway, and even chavs/wiggers. "My rims never spin, to the contrary, you'll find that they're quite stationary." Man this line just kills me.
Pancreas is like an old quartet, not really one I liked. It does have a ukelele in it which is cool.
Canadian Idiot - spoof of Green Days' American Idiot. I love singing this one to Goddess.
I'll Sue ya - A suprise hit! Rockin' beat, hilarious lyrics, and makes a valid point as well. "I sued panosonic, They never said I shouldn't use their microwave, To dry off my cat"
Polkarama - A mash of "Lets get it started - that group whos name I can't remember" "Take me out - Franz Ferdinand" "Beverly hills - Weezer" "Speed of sound - Coldplay" "Float on- Modest Mouse" "Feel Good Inc." "Don't Cha? - Pussycat Dolls" "Somebody told me - The killers" "Candyshop - Fiddy Sense" "Pon Da Replay - That jamaican guy" and FINALLY "Gold Digger - Mr. G.W. Bush doesn't like black people!"
Virus Alert - Pretty boring song to me, some people really like it though.
Confessions part III - Oh man, poor Usher. This song was better than Usher could ever have hoped to make his. "Threw up on your dog time last time I had too much to drink, There's been times when I peed in your sink."
Weasel Stomping Day - When we talked to Al about this, he said "I wanted to make a song about a unique holiday." He noted that he also made all the sound FX for this song with his mouth, assorted veggies, and his hand.
Close but no Cigar - A good song if you listen to the lyrics, the guitar riff in it is pretty repetitive but I like this song a bit as a way to laugh. Only good in a playful mood I'd say.
Do I creep you out? - Oh god, this was one of the winning songs for me. I don't even wanna ruin it for you. Just go download this song, buy it, or find SOME way to listen to it. Jesus this song is funny.
Trapped in the Drive Thru - Al's answer to "Trapped in the Closet." Again, freaking hilarious, go get this song, you can listen to it on Amazon I believe. Warning, very long, clocks in at 10:51.
Don't Download This Song - This song is hilarious. I have listened to it multiple times. The other day in the car, me and my friend were laughing so hard at this song that we wasted 30 minutes of precious daylight while delivering. Al said this was pretty much his way of saying "hey RIAA, back the F off people, but hey people, if you download something you like, go buy it, please?"
